PREPARATION
Failure to prep could cause your appointment to be cancelled!
It is really important that you arrive with your hair in the right condition – washed, dried, detangled, and down. If your hair isn’t in the right state for me to be able to see the natural fall, structure and texture of your curls, your appointment may have to be cancelled.
Come to me with your hair freshly washed and fully dried and detangled.
Use the products you normally would to wash and style your hair.
Arrive with your hair down, it is important that I see your hair in its natural state - so no hair up after drying!
Ideally, I want you to arrive when you feel your hair is at its best. For some, this is on the day curls have been washed, for others it could be a day or even two after a normal wash routine.
Please prep your hair and book your appointment with this in mind!
Whichever it is, please make sure that avoid excessively greasy or oily hair products and note that if the hair is excessively knotted or matted there will be a detangling fee.
WHY IS THE PREP SO IMPORTANT?
There are so many curls types, and each person has their own curl story within their curl type. The delicate process of Curl by Curl cutting allows me to see the natural structure and fall of your individual type, allowing me to sculpt and frame in a way that is right for you.
Things like buns, ponytails, bands, and clips interfere with the natural curl, preventing me from seeing what is really going on and making it near impossible to give the right cut for your curl.
Wet hair, tangled hair, or hair with too much oil or grease in is also an obstacle to observing what is really going on with those curls.
By doing the appointment prep your appointment can go ahead and you will have the best experience, and the best results.
